We are located in Mendocino County, in Northern California. We now have a very small sized rabbitry.
I started raising rabbits a number of years ago when I was in 4H in 1975. I started with Californians then expanded to Silver Martens and Satins. Eventually I got out of rabbits, but we started again when my oldest (now 26) was 8 years old and bought a trio of New Zealand Whites. I became a 4H rabbit leader. The children have had all the breeds I previously raised plus New Zealands, Holland Lops and American Fuzzy Lops. They have had a great time raising and showing their rabbits. It was very nice of the breeders we ran across to sell them very high quality stock. It was fun watching them win and produce even better stock. |
